It’s that time of year again. Please notify your institution’s Education Curator, Volunteer Coordinator, Docent president or any other responsible party that Education Grant applications for 2017 must be postmarked by March 31, 2017, to be considered for one of three $2000 education grants. The applications and information can be found on the AZADV website under “Misc Files and Forms” or requested from Education Grant chairman Van Harris, firstname.lastname@example.org.
These grants are available for docent led programs only. These grants are available to AZADV Organizational Members or Docent/Volunteer organization that is an organization member of AZADV.
The Oakland Zoo now offers AZADV members a 50% discount on regular zoo admission. AZADV members will need to present a valid membership card and photo ID when purchasing their admission tickets on-site. Reciprocal benefits are not available for online ticket purchases. Thank you to AZADV member Eva Lowe and Oakland Zoo Membership Manager Sarah (Cramer) Scates for their efforts in establishing this reciprocal benefit.
