The AZADV Executive Board has approved the release of “Why Join AZAD?” PowerPoint. The Board will use the PowerPoint as an AZADV Tool Kit for Membership Recruitment jointly by the Membership Chairman and Director of Public Relations. The AZADV Tool Kit will consist of the PowerPoint presentation and AZAD brochures which include a membership form.
The PowerPoint will also be available to individual Docent groups for use during new trainee classes and/or an AZADV Day set aside for all docents to attend…make it a party atmosphere. Show the PowerPoint, have AZADV members talk about their experiences from past AZADV Conferences. Discuss how knowledge gained from paper presentations, guest speakers, networking and ideas from pre and post trips has been incorporated into their own docent programs.
The AZADV Tool Kit is available online or you can request a hard copy by contacting the Director of Public Relations.

They’re finally here! The new membership brochures have been mailed to all AZADV organizational members! Please look for them in your volunteer offices – if you don’t see them, ask your coordinator. Also, any docent/volunteer who isn’t affiliated with an organizational member may contact Public Relations Director, Ann Pisani by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for some new Membership brochures. In addition, a new Membership Powerpoint presentation will soon be posted on the AZADV website – please stay tuned!
Delegate Confirmation forms were mailed on April 13, 2015 to all AZADV organizational members. They are addressed to the points of contact at the address on file in the membership database. If you are planning to be a delegate in Nashville, a member of your organization’s staff must sign and return the delegate confirmation form by July 1, 2015. The form confirms that you are the organization’s delegate, that you are authorized to speak on behalf of your organization, and that you are not an employee of the organization. The forms should be delivered by the end of this week, so please keep an eye out for it and make sure it gets into the right hands. Sometimes they are lost, misrouted or just seem to disappear into a black hole. The process gets a bit complicated when that happens.
The annual AZADV Delegates Meeting is being held at the Music City Sheraton Hotel, 777 McGavock Pike, Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 7:30-10:30pm.
Please also note that both yours and your organization’s AZADV membership must be up-to-date in order for you to be seated as a delegate at the meeting. Thanks and see you in Nashville!
